Together, we then craft a lifestyle program that not only includes recommendations for optimal foods and herbs but also aromatherapy, colors, detoxification, yoga, and meditation. These practices are all aimed at restoring or maintaining balance.

Ayurveda, also known as the Science of Life, is a holistic healing system that looks at all aspects of your physical and emotional health to support you in creating balance. In an Ayurvedic consultation, there is a focus on finding the root cause of your imbalances by obtaining a comprehensive mind-body health assessment.

As your Ayurvedic health practitioner, I look to restore balance and harmony to the mind, body and spirit, thus avoiding the onset of symptoms. Katherine guided me to a more grounded, confident way of living day to day over the course of working with her closely to learn about myself through the lens of the Ayurvedic perspective.  She is a wonderfully patient and supportive educator. She will always be one of my biggest cheerleaders. The wealth of information Kathy shared with me will last me my lifetime. From the personalized report of findings after my initial visit, to bi-weekly meetings, to the heart-centered guidance, and offering of specific self-care and food recommendations; I obtained the knowledge of how to meet myself and daily life with a new foundation of wisdom. I gained an inner knowing that supports me to this day in realizing that I have the tools to meet challenges and my own needs in any given moment.


In a time of personal transition and stress including starting a new career, going through a divorce, moving out of state, and starting another new job, I managed to maintain some balance and even improve my mental and physical health. Much of my strength I can attribute to Kathy’s support, compassion, and accountability as my Ayurvedic Counselor and teacher. There are recipes, rituals and routines I will continue to practice indefinitely and share with others who have open hearts. As a healthcare professional for the past 12 years, I now encourage incorporating both Eastern and Western medicine practices with my own patient, friends and family members.


I am so thankful I signed up for Ayurvedic counseling with Kathy.  When I first started the consultations, I was quite reluctant to make the changes Kathy recommended each week, but she was understanding of my resistance to change, and gently allowed me to decide when and how to adjust my habits.  It was really only after the consultations ended that I realized I was starting to see the bigger picture, willing to give up the rigid standards I had always attempted to live by.  The most significant advancement I have made has been how food has taken a backseat to other activities in my life.  Over time, I have noticed that incorporating the Ayurvedic principles related to cooking and eating I learned about from Kathy has eliminated the mental battles I have always had with myself about eating choices and daily routines.  I am still working to naturally incorporate everything I have learned into my life, because I realize that small changes can add even more contentment and peace into my mind and life.
